United We Stream – Solidarity Fund Application
United We Stream is a fund set up by Greater Manchester’s Night Time Economy Adviser, Sacha Lord, and the GMCA Culture, Creative and Night Time Economy Team. The fund is to provide seed funding to help people and organisations in Greater Manchester’s cultural and night time industries to adapt and innovate, under the challenging circumstances posed by the Covid-19 pandemic.
To be eligible, you must:
Be a Greater Manchester-based individual or freelancer working in the cultural or night time economy sector
OR
Be applying on behalf of a Greater Manchester-based venue, bar, restaurant or cultural organisation
Whilst we are aiming to support as many people as possible through the donations and generosity of our supporters, please understand that there simply is not enough money to support everyone, and we will do our best to ensure that the fund is distributed as equitably as possible. Due to the limited amount of funding available, we are looking for individuals and organisations who can demonstrate:
- How United We Stream funding could help you/your organisation/your business to adapt to social distancing and lockdown measures related to Covid-19, to find innovative and enterprising ways of earning income, where possible.
- We are also keen to support those who provide social value as much as possible.
The minimum grant amount is £500. There is no maximum amount you can apply for as long as you can demonstrate how the money would be used to meet the aims above, however please bear in mind that the panel will be looking to spread the fund across several individuals and organisations across Greater Manchester. The money can be spent on anything which will enable you to meet the objectives above, for example staffing costs, launching a new website, purchasing bicycles.
Our independent panel of night time economy and culture experts will be reading all the applications submitted and making decisions on funding.
